The Google Pixel 6 Pro has a large screen, which is no longer easy to use with one hand. Therefore, it is recommended to activate the one-hand mode on the smartphone in order to reach the upper edge of the screen easier
This way, you can use your thumb to access screen content that would otherwise be inaccessible without another hand or an uncomfortable grip.
How To enable one-handed mode on the Google Pixel 6 Pro
1. Open the settings and then go to "System".
2. Continue now to "Gestures and movements" and then to "One-handed mode".
3. Turn on the "Use one-handed mode" slider there to enable the feature.
In the one-handed mode settings, there are several options to configure the feature. The default setting "Drag display down" moves the screen down when you swipe down from the bottom edge of the screen, making the upper part more accessible.
Alternatively, you can set the mode to "Show notifications", which pulls the notifications and quick settings down from the top of the screen.
One-handed operation only works on the Google Pixel 6 Pro if you have enabled gesture navigation. If that is not yet the case, then enable it as follows:
Open: Settings --> System --> Gestures --> System navigation.
Once one-handed mode is enabled and set up, you can use it with almost all applications. One-handed mode does not work in landscape mode.
You now know how to enable one-handed mode in Android's settings on the Google Pixel 6 Pro.
