You can take a screenshot with any modern Android smartphone. This is of course also the case with the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro. However, since taking a screenshot is handled a bit differently on each smartphone, we'll explain the different variants you can use to take a screenshot here:

Variant 1: Take a screenshot via key combination
For this, you need to press the following keys simultaneously on your Xiaomi 12 or 12 Pro:
Press and hold the power button and the volume down button for about 2 seconds until the display flashes briefly, indicating that a screenshot has been taken. The key combination is the easiest and fastest option for many users. Nevertheless, there is another method and that is the one via the status bar.
Variant 2: Create screenshot via the status bar
For this, you simply have to drag the status bar from the top to the bottom of the display with two fingers and then select the "screenshot" icon. The icon resembles a small screen with scissors. A screenshot will now be taken here as well.
The created screenshots can subsequently be found in the "Photos" app on your Xiaomi 12 or 12 Pro.
